Cigna Healthcare Promotes Tony Doyle to General Manager For MidSouth

Franklin, TN - Nov. 20, 2024 - Cigna Healthcare has named longtime company leader Tony Doyle as general manager for its group employer business in the MidSouth region - comprised of Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Mississippi - effective Jan. 1, 2025.

In this role, Tony will be responsible for driving market growth for client employers with under 3,000 employees by creating customer value and ensuring that the local market strategy, product and network offerings meet evolving customer and client needs. He will also work with the markets' network leaders, medical executives and others to advance outreach in the communities Cigna Healthcare serves.

Tony brings more than 25 years of health plan experience, as well as deep market knowledge. Since joining Cigna Healthcare six years ago, he has held several new and existing business leadership roles in the MidSouth region. He currently serves as vice president of sales, Existing Business, for the market's Mid-Market Segment and has also been engaged in both new business and retention efforts for Cigna Healthcare's Under 500 accounts (Select Segment). Prior to joining Cigna Healthcare company, Tony held several sales roles with Aetna.

Tony resides in Gallatin, TN and will be based at Cigna Healthcare's Franklin, Tenn. office.

Tony's promotion to general manager comes as Gene Rapisardi will retire from his role as MidSouth general manager at the end of this year, bringing to a close a nearly 45-year-career in the employee benefits industry.
