Construction Advisory: Decoto Road Repaving Project – Phase I

The Decoto Road Repaving Project - Phase I will begin on October 2 and is anticipated to finish in mid-November. The work will consist of resurfacing Decoto Road from Alameda Creek Bridge to 11th Street, as well a minor concrete improvement to street corners and sidewalks.

What to Expect:

  • Working hours will be weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (unless otherwise posted). Note, night work is expected as the project progresses for a segment of the roadway to reduce daytime disruptions. This will be noticed accordingly.
  • Construction will affect daily travel. It is advised to allow additional time for travel.
  • Expect lane closures, minor traffic delays, and possible detours including local detours when necessary.
  • Through traffic will have at least one travel lane in each direction. Emergency, delivery, and services vehicle routes will not be impacted.
  • "No Parking" signs will provide planned dates of construction in the neighborhood. Signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance with planned dates of construction.
  • Construction activities should not change scheduled dates for delivery or pick-up services (garbage collection, mail, etc.). Although delivery times may change, dates will not be affected. Residents will be notified of any exceptions.

The City appreciates everyone's patience and cooperation as work is underway. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to the public. To learn more and for regular updates, visit the Public Works Construction Advisory webpage.
