Persons with diplomatic passports to get right to mutually be without visa requirement in RA and Tunisia up to 90 days

At October 23 regular sitting, the National Assembly debated the draft law On Ratifying the Agreement On Lifting the Visa Requirement for Persons with Diplomatic Passports between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and Government of the Republic of Tunisia, which presented the RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.

The purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate the traveling procedures of the two states for the persons with diplomatic passports. The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Tunisia were established in 2022. In December 2023, for the first time took place the Armenian-Tunisian consultations, during which the abovementioned international Agreement was signed. According the Agreement regulations, persons with diplomatic passports get right to mutually be without visa requirement in Armenia and Tunisia up to 90 days. Entry visa will be necessary to receive to be in the country for longer period, in accordance with inner-state legislation of the state of receiving side.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Hripsime Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Committee on the Agreement. According to her, the adoption of the Agreement will promote the political dialogue between the two countries and will facilitate the official mutual visits.
