Teachers show 'hello' goes a long way
From pre-K to high school, two Dallas ISD teachers, Dipcianet Galan at Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School and Liyah Joseph at Career Institute East, are building meaningful connections with students through personalized greetings. Galan's warm interactions help her 3-year-olds develop social skills and confidence, while Joseph's engaging door greetings enhance attendance and trust among high schoolers. These practices demonstrate how simple gestures can set a positive tone, boost engagement, and support student success across all grade levels.
