City Announces Thanksgiving Schedule for Municipal Services

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (November 23, 2024) - New Brunswick will observe the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28. City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation.

The New Brunswick Free Public Library, 60 Livingston Ave., will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center will also be closed on the holiday. Trash scheduled to be picked up on Thursday, Nov. 28, will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

In addition, on Thanksgiving Day, federal and state offices will be closed, there is no mail delivery, and financial institutions will be closed. The stock market is also closed, as we all gather with friends and family to count our blessings.
