Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired Team Thailand Australia Meeting and visited Thai Town

On 12 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, chaired a meeting with Team Thailand in Australia at the Crown Sydney Hotel, Sydney, during his official visit to Australia from 10 to 12 December 2024.

On this occasion, the Minister provided policy guidance to the Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, the Consul-General in Sydney, and Thai government officials posted in Australia, representing 11 agencies in total. The Minister emphasised the government's ambition and policy to pursue proactive economic diplomacy and deepen engagement between businesses. This aims to achieve tangible outcomes, particularly enhancing the well-being of the Thai people.

Following the meeting, the Minister visited Thai Town, a vibrant area with a large Thai community and numerous Thai businesses. He greeted community members and reflected on his time as Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, discussing the living conditions and development of the Thai community.
