Golden Stethoscope awarded to Dr. Jakub Wojcik

Jakub Wojcik, MD, MBA, internal medicine, BRMC, was awarded the Golden Stethoscope Award for BRMC/OGH.

Bradford, PA / Olean, NY - Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, presented the second bi-annual 2024 Golden Stethoscope Award to Jakub Wojcik, MD, MBA. Dr. Wojcik, internal medicine and primary care provider, started at BRMC in 2018.

The Golden Stethoscope Award is a result of nominations from employees and presented semi-annually to a physician who exhibits an exceptional level of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork in caring for patients and families, as well as interacting with hospital staff members and fellow physicians.

The award is presented to one physician throughout BRMC, OGH, and physician practices who meets the high standard of providing high quality patient care.

"Dr. Wojcik goes above and beyond for every single patient. He always takes time to listen to every patients' concerns, practicing active listening skills, no matter how busy he is, to determine how to provide exceptional care. His communication skills with patients are exquisite and always explains things in a way that his patients understand while addressing any possible concerns," said his nomination. "Dr. Wojcik will help select a specialist and provide all necessary instructions when a higher level of care is needed. He is responsive, compassionate, and an overall great physician."

Dr. Wojcik earned a medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, an MBA at Keller

Graduate School of Management and completed a residency at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Dr. Wojcik's accolade on being the recipient of the Golden Stethoscope will also be recognized at the 3rd Annual Pulse of the Community Gala being held on Friday, September 19, 2025.
