Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5703 Heatherbloom Drive

December 12, 2024- The fatal shooting of a man at 5703 Heatherbloom Drive about 3 p.m. on Wednesday (December 11) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 50 to 60 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The female shooter, 36, was not injured.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Providence and C. Davidson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a home invasion call at the above address and found a male inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined the male entered the home without permission and was shot as a result.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and it was determined this case will be reviewed by a Harris County grand jury.
