Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 13400 Northwest Freeway

December 12, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 13400 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road about 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday (December 11).

The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased male lying under a blanket under the Northwest Freeway underpass. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, determined the male had gunshot wounds and pronounced him deceased.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
