City of Norman administrative offices will close in observance of 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year’s Holidays

City of Norman Administrative Offices will close to observe two upcoming holidays: Christmas and New Year's Day. Additional information about operations for certain departments can be found below.

CHRISTMAS INFORMATION

Administrative Offices: Administrative Offices of the City of Norman will be closed 12/24/24 and 12/25/24 to observe the Christmas holiday. Normal business hours will resume 12/26/24.

Solid Waste Division: Services of the Solid Waste Division will not run on 12/25/24. During this week, certain customers set to receive trash, recycling, yard waste or commercial pickup will be delayed according to the below schedule:

• Customers normally serviced on Wednesday will be serviced Thursday.
• Customers normally serviced on Thursday will be serviced on Friday.
• Customers normally serviced on Friday will be serviced on Saturday.

For five days following Christmas, beginning 12/26/24, extra holiday trash (such as wrapping paper, bags or boxes) will be picked up for City of Norman utility customers. This type of trash should be set at least two feet from the polycart.

As needed, Solid Waste workers will be picking up Christmas trees (non-artificial) on yard waste pick-up days. Please remove any stands and/or ornaments. If the tree is more than 6 ft. in length, it should be cut it in half and placed at the curbside. The yard waste pick-up will continue regular service through the winter months. The Transfer Station, located at 3901 S. Chautauqua, and the Compost Facility, located at 398 Bratcher Miner Road, will both be closed 12/25/24 but open regular hours for the remainder of the week. See hours or learn more at Normanok.gov.

Parks & Recreation: All recreation centers will be closed 12/24/24 and 12/25/24. Westwood Golf will remain open until 3 p.m. on 12/24/24. Visit NormanParks.com for more information.

Norman Police: Norman Animal Welfare and the NPD Records Division will both be closed 12/24/24 and 12/25/24.

Public Transportation:

NEW YEAR'S INFORMATION
