On November 22, 2024, at approximately 9:07 a.m., the New York State Police of SP Rochester responded to a one-vehicle fatal collision on the Culver Road exit off of I-490 in the city of Rochester.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2015 Chrysler 200, operated by Christopher S. Long Jr., age 25, of Rochester, NY, was traveling eastbound on I-490 when it exited the roadway, struck a barrier, overturned multiple times, and struck a utility pole before coming to rest on Exit 19 at Culver Road. One female passenger, Skylar Swift, age 18, of Rochester, NY, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other female passengers were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where, Aleci Lopez, age 23, of Rochester, NY, succumbed to her injuries, and the other, Alexandrea Rodriguez, age 19, of Rochester, NY, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Long Jr. was taken into custody and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. He was charged with two counts of Manslaughter 2nd (C Felony) and transported to Monroe County Jail for CAP arraignment.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Rochester Fire Department and AMR Ambulance.
