Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand met with the Minister for Industry and Trade of New South Wales

On 12 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, met with The Honourable Anoulack Chanthivong MP, Minister for Industry and Trade of New South Wales, in Sydney during his official visit to Australia between 10-12 December 2024.

During the discussions, both sides agreed to enhance the exchange of expertise and fostering investment between startup enterprises. The Australian side encouraged Thai startups, particularly in the technology sector with significant potential, to apply for initiatives such as the Australian Government's International Landing Pad and the New South Wales Startup Hub programme to facilitate their business expansion within Australia.

In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Thailand's readiness to support Australian private sector to explore and seize investment and growth opportunities within Thailand's target industries.
